MARYVILLE, Mo. - A Maryville man was seriously injured in a collision. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Russell Redden, 25, was injured in the crash on U.S. 71 near Ideal Road north of Maryville at 10:24 a.m. Monday.

Authorities said Redden was driving a 2012 GMC 2500 which was exiting on to southbound 71 when it was struck by a 2016 Kenworth which was heading northbound.

The driver of the Kenworth, 48-year-old Christopher Thorburn, of St. Joseph, suffered minor injuries. Redden, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. Both vehicles were totaled.
